Ashtanga Yoga for continuing and beginners students who have completed a minimum of eight weeks of beginners yoga. Increased holding times of postures, vinyasa flow sequencing and pranayama (breath control) are introduced.

YOGA FOR NEW STUDENTS AND BEGINNERS
The purpose of this class is to develop a strong foundation in the fundamentals of posture alignment and form, breath control, deep relaxation, concentration and meditation. The teaching approach is based on Ashtanga Yoga (the eight limbs) and the Amrit Method. Consistent practice strengthens and balances the mind and body, releases stress and tension, creates a sense of well-being and increases self-awareness.

Intermediate Yoga
For students who maintain a consistent practice of asanas (postures) and some pranayama (breath control) under the guidance of a teacher. Students at this level are ready to work on more challenging postures (arm balances, headstand), increased holding times of postures, meditation, and a more in-depth exploration of Ashtanga Yoga and the Yoga Sutras. Permission of instructor is required.
