Namaste! And welcome to the Jewel of India website. I would like to offer a heartfelt welcome to all levels of practitioners, new and experienced, to join us for a class, workshop, or personal consultation.

I am the owner of Jewel of India. I have been a student of yoga for 28 years and a teacher for 19. I have studied various systems of yoga in India and the United States, including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Kriya, Kundalini, Bikram, and Amrit Yoga, which is a form of Kundalini Yoga created by yoga master Amrit Desai. This system honors the spiritual heritage of yoga, having its roots in Patanjali's Ashtanga Yoga. I recieved certification to teach Amrit Yoga in 2008 by the Amrit Yoga Istitute, and it is the primary system taught at our center.

We also offer Ayurvedic ("science of life" system of self-healing from India) and Vedic Astrology consultations (astrology based on the wisdom of the spiritual Vedas of India). These systems are invaluable for yoga practitioners, as well as for anyone seeking greater health and self-understanding. They provide tools for creating health and well-being, and help to shed more light on one's true, eternal nature, which is beyond and yet embraces the field of body/mind awareness.

One of the biggest benefits that I found to deepen my connection with the creative process is the Full-Wave Breathing method of breath-work. Meditation has always been part of my creative process, and within my background I have encountered a number of great teachers who all have helped me and others with various methods of this process. I offer classes, workshops and privates sessions at Jewel of India.

What I found and like about the Full-Wave Breathing is its ability to enhance any practice that a person is involved with. Personally, it has helped me to integrate further into my feeling body of awareness and my creative imagination. It has helped me get back into the intention of heart where I can get the feeling of what I experienced at the locations of my images, and bring it back into the work for others to potentially see and feel. What I also like about the Full-Wave Breathing is it’s fundamental principle to KEEP IT SIMPLE. If we are not breathing in fully, engaging our whole body as it was meant to breathe, we also miss knowing and experiencing the full capacity and value of what we are born with… LIFE!

Two individuals introduced me into Full-Wave Breathing. Dr. Caron Goode, and Dr. Tom Goode. Dr. Caron Goode recently was awarded “Best Books 2009” by USA Book News, within the “Parenting/Family” category, “Raising Intuitive Children”. Caron is also the founder of the Academy for Coaching Parents (http://academyforcoachingparents.com/). Dr Tom Goode is founder of the International Breath Institute and developed the Full-Wave Breathing methodology. His website for more information can be found at http://energizeyounow.com/
